Mum and Chouli

I took this in 1986, when Chouli was still a puppy and living up in Boston with me. The impact of Chouli on my life, my mum's and my dad's was incalculable... She was so special to all of us, but she had a special place in her heart for mum, who looked after her for the first few months before mum put her on a plane up to me in Boston. Mum would babysit Chouli at a moment's notice and helped me nurse her back from 2 cruiciate surgeries and the fateful train accident. When I finally had to put Chouli to sleep, mum was with me. I had to move back in with her for a while because I was so bereft, I could not go in my own house for a long time because of all the memories I had of her... Mum came with me when Chouli was cremated and we both kept some of her ashes with us always...
